AN OFFICE MISSIONARY: WHAT DO I DO?

Working behind the scenes to advance the gospel through training and equipping.

COMMUNICATIONS

I help to project the vision of YWAM Lausanne through visual media and graphic design. Using my skills to help promote missions schools and recruit new missionaries to come and train to become future world changers. I have the gift of Ideation and can take someones ideas and notes and create a reality through media and design. I love creating new outlets to reach potential students and staff. I also help with visual communication during Worship times and corporate events.

EVENT MANAGEMENT

When we host people at our bases we are called to use hospitality and welcome them with open arms. I use my training in both event management and hospitality to plan and execute events, graduations, meals and corporate gatherings along with a team. We welcome teams and visitors to our base, create beautiful decor and make them feel at home. The lord says "if anyone gives a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded."

PRESIDENTS ASSISTANT

In this season I am also the personal assistant to the president of the UofN (The University of the Nations) our global accredited university. Markus also happens to be our base leader here in Lausanne as well. I help to bring life to visions and ideas that Markus and the Deans may have and use my talents in graphic design to make them a visual reality. I also do many odd jobs and errands to give Markus the freedom to focus on our base and the UofN. It's a position i never imagines myself holding but God entrusted me with something new, and im excited for the next season!

Youth With A Mission

YWAM AS A WHOLE

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is a global movement of Christians from many denominations dedicated to presenting Jesus personally to this generation, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission. As citizens of God’s kingdom, we are called to love, worship, and obey our Lord, to love and serve His Body, the Church, and to present the whole gospel for the whole person throughout the whole world.

We of Youth With A Mission believe that the Bible is God’s inspired and authoritative word, revealing that Jesus Christ is God’s son; that people are created in God’s image; that He created us to have eternal life through Jesus Christ; that although all people have sinned and come short of God’s glory, God has made salvation possible through the death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ; that repentance, faith, love and obedience are fitting responses to God’s initiative of grace towards us; that God desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth; and that the Holy Spirit’s power is demonstrated in and through us for the accomplishment of Christ’s last commandment, “Go into all the world and preach the good news to everyone” (Mark 16:15 NLT).

YWAM LAUSANNE: A TRAINING BASE

YWAM Lausanne was the first YWAM training location, and it continues to be a gateway into world missions today. We are a community that trains and empowers leaders to go to the nations and engage their personal and professional world with the life-changing message of the Gospel.
New opportunities to become involved in missions are important. That’s why we offer training schools, local and international outreaches, and most importantly, an environment that allows you to cultivate an intimate relationship with God. Today, the YWAM Lausanne campus finds itself on the brink of explosive growth. The current generation, like never before, is eager to create and participate in a new wave of missions.
